Welcome to Guby. By downloading or using the Guby app (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please don't use the App.
Guby is a wellbeing aid that gently encourages children to hold their devices at a healthier viewing distance. It provides reminders and weekly email summaries. Guby is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, including myopia. It is intended to support healthy habits, not to replace professional eye care.
Guby is operated by Plavaga Software Solutions Pvt Ltd (“Plavaga”), an Indian company registered at #1203, Tower 4, Salarpuria Cadenza, Kudlu Gate, Hosur Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560068, India.
The App must be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. By setting up Guby, you confirm you are the parent or lawful guardian of any minor who uses the device, and that you consent to the App's operation as described in our Privacy Policy.
Guby requests certain device permissions (camera, display-over-other-apps, notifications, internet, and optional battery exception and usage access) to function. Some features may be limited if permissions are declined. Reliability can vary across device manufacturers and operating-system versions.
The App transmits anonymous numeric summaries (for your weekly email recap), anonymous feature-usage events (for product improvement), and crash diagnostics (so we can fix bugs). No photos, video, audio, or content from the screen are uploaded. Full details — including retention windows, hosting region, and service providers — are in our Privacy Policy.
We aim to keep Guby running smoothly but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. During early access, features may change frequently.
The App, the Guby character, and all related branding are owned by Plavaga and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plavaga is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the App, and makes no warranty that the App will prevent any health outcome. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
